The Grasscrete brand has a long association with sport having sponsored athletics and cricket and for many years has been heavily committed to supporting cycling both on a National and a regional basis. At the same time the Group’s Managing Director Bob Howden OBE has for the last 13 years been President of British Cycling.
Next up on the 16th August is the North Yorkshire Grand Prix Road Races held on roads both around and through the magnificent Ampleforth Abbey grounds. Once again Grasscrete features as the main sponsoring brand, proudly continuing 20 years of support to this event.
Grasscrete were the proud sponsors of the “Open Grasscrete Grand Prix” at the final round of the British Cycling | Lloyds National Circuit Race Series on July 22nd.
It provided a win on the night for Wakefield Olympian Oliver Wood, seen here second left on the front row of the grid alongside the Series Leader and eventual Series winner Callum Laborde.

This impressive hotel and casino resort in Limassol, Cyprus needed to establish parking for over 1000 cars in an overspill area beyond the immediate vista of the hotel, with a low maintenance surface.
Garasscrete was chosen for its cast-in-place reinforced concrete surface, as it was able to feature demarcation for individual parking bays using solid concrete panels, removing the need to paint and repaint the bays.

This installation at Hampton Court Flower Show, surrounded by Grasscrete, wasn’t without its challenges…
It required accurate setting out and the creation of a vertical edge surround to the pond.
Coloured concrete was used within the 100mm thick Grasscrete GC1 in a contrasting hue, taken from the dark grey of the car.
To meet the tight timescale of exhibition build-up the soil pockets to the Grasscrete were filled with turfs cut to the pocket shape enabling the effect to be gained immediately.
It certainly caused a splash!
